What makes Butlr private by design? What data do you capture?

Butlr is designed to be private by default. Our Heatic sensors capture only low-resolution thermal data—essentially temperature values per pixel, not visual imagery.

  • We do not capture faces, clothing, documents, screens, or any personally identifying visual detail.

  • We do not collect biometric identifiers such as facial geometry, retina or iris scans, voice signatures, fingerprints, or similar.

  • We do not infer personal identity, gender, age, or other protected attributes.

The system only sees abstract, non-identifying heat signatures—enough to understand where people are and how spaces are used, but not who they are.
