How large an area can a Heatic sensor cover?

Coverage depends strongly on installation height:

• Higher mounting → wider coverage area

• Heatic 2/2+ support a maximum mounting height of about 3.2 m.

Typical examples:

• One sensor can often cover ~4 desks in an open office or a small meeting room.

• Medium or large meeting rooms usually require 2 or more sensors.

We use the concept of Effective Coverage:

• Effective Coverage = area where the system can reliably maintain the claimed accuracy in real-world conditions.

• This is often smaller than the theoretical maximum FOV of the thermal sensor, to ensure realistic expectations and consistent performance.
