[Heatic 3] Understanding LED Indicators

The LED on a Heatic 3 sensor shows whether it is connected to its Hive. This applies to Heatic 3 (Wired) and Heatic 3 (Wireless).

Most of the time the LED is off. That is normal: it means the sensor is working.

Before You Start

Make sure the on/off switch is ON. The LED only lights when the sensor is switched on and has power.

LED Indicators

Color Pattern Status User Action
Blue
Flashing (about 1 s on, 3 s off) Not connected; searching for the Hive. Starts when the sensor is switched on, and comes back any time a working sensor loses its connection. Wait up to 10 minutes. If it is still flashing blue, contact Butlr.
Green
Solid for about 3 s Connected to the Hive. —
No light
— Normal operation. The LED stays off while the sensor is working. —
White
Rapid flashing for up to ~30 s, then back to normal Butlr has asked this sensor to identify itself, to help find a specific unit. No action needed.

When to Contact Butlr

  • A sensor is still flashing blue 10 minutes after you switched it on.
  • A sensor that was off starts flashing blue and doesn’t stop. A sensor flashing blue on the ceiling is not connected right now.
