New Feature: Spots, 3rd-Party Sensors & Bulk Import in Studio

Studio now supports full management of Spots (desks, conference rooms, lounges, phone booths), third-party motion and desk sensors, and gateways directly on floor plans — with drag-and-drop, bulk operations, and undo/redo. A new bulk import feature lets you add many sensors at once via CSV upload or pattern-based generation, with grid or sequential placement modes for rapid setup. Organization owners can also now transfer ownership to another user directly from User Management.

New Features: Dashboard Redesign (Beta) + API Tokens + Extended Sessions

A major dashboard release introduces self-serve API Access Token management directly within Account Settings, and extends the app.butlr.io session timeout from 15 minutes to a full day. The beta dashboard also brings new occupancy metrics (Average Occupancy, Average Occupancy When Occupied, Peak Occupancy), Entrance/Area view toggle, enhanced charting with zoom and 1-minute granularity, Time Use by Group Size charts, average utilization on floor plans, and a calibrated traffic model that reduces undercounting from sensor drift. Beta features available by request through your CS representative.

New Feature: Unified Navigation Sidebar

In an effort to unify the overall web app experience, you can now navigate between different floors, rooms, and zones using the same sidebar across the Data, Studio, and Devices pages. This eliminates context-switching between views and makes it much easier to drill down into the spaces you care about. Coming soon: sidebar open by default in Studio & Devices, and the ability to filter device lists by building and site.
