What is a zone?

A zone lets you get near real-time and historical occupancy data for areas of interest in a room with Presence sensors. Use zones to monitor desk occupancy and availability, utilization of activity areas and soft-seating, etc.

FAQ

Can zones overlap?

Zones may overlap. Just keep in mind that zones will report any detections within their coverage area, including the area of overlap.

What will happen if I put a zone outside of a room?

A zone must be placed inside a room with a Presence sensor. Otherwise, the zone will not show on the dashboard and will not produce meaningful occupancy data.

Can a zone be created such that it includes a portion of 2 or more sensors?

Yes, as long as the sensors belong to the same room.

Why can’t I see the zone on the dashboard?

The zone may not have been placed inside a room on Studio.

  1. Make sure that the zone is:
    1. Placed inside a room on Studio, and

  2. If you made any adjustments to the zone:
