Headcount vs. Activity Mode
Headcount Mode: Butlr currently provides a historical insight into the number of people that have been detected walking under a Butlr Heatic Headcount Sensor. This sensor sends data to Butlr's headcount algorithm to provide total 'in' and 'out' movements in relation to a sensor's orientation and user-defined door line.
Recommended for main entrances to spaces or large zones in a space with high traffic, to measure foot traffic and occupancy trends at a high level.
Primary data: - Total 'In' - Total 'Out' Secondary data: - flow within space * 8 frames per second * Historic: accumulated over a given period of time (ie. total in/out for past 7 days)
Space level - Entryways for headcount in space - corridors for flow in space b. Room-level - ie. room has 2 doors, want to know which door is used more (May combine multiple headcount sensors)
Activity Mode: Butlr currently provides real-time sensor-level and room-level activity detection insight. The Activity Sensor sends data to Butlr's occupancy algorithm to provide a real-time number of people detected under each sensor.
Recommended for meeting rooms, apartments, restrooms and other low traffic areas for a more detailed look at people's locations, behavior (foot paths, dwell time) and live occupancy figures at specific times.
Primary data: - # of people (occupancy) - detection coordinates Secondary data: - occupancy trends (% increase/decrease) - trajectory - dwell time - activity intensity * 3 frames per second * Real-time: live detections at a given point in time (ie. total detections now, or at this time last week).
